Professor & Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Johnson-Glover of Echoes of Excellence (formally Elucidating Educational Enhancements) is intrinsically motivated by her belief of education and motivation as an agent for actionable change. Her teachings and practices are backed by sociological foundation in conjunction with spousal military affiliation, allowing her to best service versed groups of diverse learners.
Liz graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the broad and all-inclusive field of Sociology. After earning that degree, she eagerly applied to University of Texas Pan American’s Masters of Science in Sociology program. Just a couple of years later she earned that degree, with high academic and social honors.
Sociology serving as her foundation, Liz has worked diligently in her studies in attempt to master as much knowledge as possible in the field with now-fulfilled goals of becoming a professor of sociology, having served at a half dozen institutions of higher education in promoting sociological and socially diverse awareness.
Along her sociological path, Liz completed her journey of earning a Masters of Education, with emphasis on Educational Technology. Within a year after completing her masters in Sociology, she earned a Master of Education in Educational Technology, a graduate certification in Technology Leadership in Education, and a second graduate certification in E-Learning. This emphasis of educational technology has allowed for Liz to foster learning environments with her students and clients, rich with the advances of technology.
Beyond the realm of higher education, Liz has served as both an educator and administrator within K-12 settings. Her experienced started as the lead teacher of an elementary grade, offering Liz the sense of relativism she would later need in her administrative duties. Serving in this line, Liz worked as a director of gifted and talented education, department chairperson of concurrent enrollment (post-secondary studies), school assessment coordinator, and instructional coach.
Presently, Liz is completing her dissertation surrounded on fusion between sociology and education. In Spring of 2021, Liz transitioned into Dr. Elizabeth Johnson-Glover, Ed.D of Leadership and Learning, with emphases on Higher Education Leadership. Along the course of this program, Liz was adequately trained to identify and construct upon pedagogy and practices designed to best service diverse learners. This program has offered Liz heightened critical thinking and decision-making skills, and has allowed her to excel as an exceptional, scholarly writer.
The efforts within this terminal, doctorate degree strengthen the soon-to-be doctor of education in preparing learners for their post-secondary pathways. In other words, not only is Liz qualified to support adult learners, but also to prepare those in high school environments as they transition for astounding success into post-secondary realms, and those in elementary and middle school environments as they prepare for a successful transition into high school realms. In short, Liz chose a doctorate path best suited to equip her in servicing learners at every level!
Published works constructed by Johnson-Glover include development of handbooks and policy advocacy.
As for affiliations, Liz is an esteemed member of EDUCAUSE, Golden Key Honour Society, and National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).
Undoubtedly, Liz’s educational experiences have acquainted her with a wide range of interactions as it relates to the educational experience of learners she services from classrooms to consultations and conferences. She has gained experience with learner-centered approaches, using social cues to deepen learning, implementation of multimedia and hypermedia, cognitive theory of multimedia, content in e-learning, online facilities for social learning, course design and course/learning management systems, instructional design, cooperative learning, collaborative learning, strategic planning, and more, all using research-based techniques. What’s more: Liz uses her personal and professional backgrounds and experiences to offer motivational speaking to varied audiences. Her versatility promotes Prof. E. J. Glover as an experienced and astound consultant of education.
