Second Life – To Infinity, and Beyond

Second Life is a virtual world online community that provides vast simulation opportunities to explore places that might not otherwise be possible. Second Life proves a 3-Dimensional platform that will allow educators to supplement their educational experiences.  Second Life provides opportunities to visit places in the natural world and in space with meteorological and gravitational systems.  This project will examine effectiveness of Second Life when utilized with a Science class to teach students about the solar system.  The three places in Second Life that we will visit for this project are the Exploratorium, Spaceflight Museum, and the Star Trek Museum.
